Frequently asked questions

What is Warticon used for?

Warticon is a topical treatment designed for genital warts. It contains podophyllotoxin, which helps reduce and eliminate warts by inhibiting cell division.

The affected area should be thoroughly washed with soap and water, and dried prior to application.

Warticon should be applied twice daily, morning and evening (every 12 hours) for 3 consecutive days. The treatment should then be withheld for the next 4 consecutive days.

Application to the surrounding normal tissue should be avoided.

If residual warts persist, this 3-day treatment may be repeated weekly until there is no visible wart tissue or for a total of 4 weeks of treatment.

Warticon solution should be applied to the warts with the applicator supplied with the solution.

Due to the flammable nature of Warticon solution, patients should avoid smoking or being near an open flame during application and immediately after use.

The solution should be allowed to dry before opposing skin surfaces are returned to their normal position.

If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Avoid applying extra medication to make up for a missed dose.

Many people start to see improvement within a few weeks of using Warticon. However, results can vary depending on the number and size of the warts. Continue using the treatment as prescribed for optimal results.

Possible side effects include local irritation, redness, or discomfort at the application site. If you experience severe pain, swelling, or other unusual symptoms, contact your healthcare provider.

Warticon is not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding without consulting your healthcare provider. Discuss any potential risks with your doctor before starting treatment.

Store Warticon at room temperature, away from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep it in its original packaging and out of reach of children. Check the expiration date and do not use the medication past this date.

Warticon can be obtained from various London pharmacies. Many offer same-day delivery services, providing quick access to your genital warts treatment such as Kings Pharmacy.

If you do not see improvement after completing the full course of Warticon, or if your warts seem to worsen, consult your healthcare provider. They may suggest alternative treatments or further evaluation.
