Thrush

Genital thrush is a common fungal infection caused by the overgrowth of Candida yeast, leading to itching, irritation, and a thick, white discharge. It can be triggered by factors such as antibiotic use, hormonal changes, diabetes, or a weakened immune system. Tight clothing and poor hygiene can also contribute to the development of this condition. Although not sexually transmitted, genital thrush can be more frequent after sexual activity. Treatment typically involves antifungal creams or tablets to clear the infection.
