Who can use Voltarol Gel?

Voltarol Gel is suitable for those aged 14 years and over only.

It is used for muscle and joint pain, including sprains, strains, sports injuries, back pain, and soft tissue injuries. Some formulations may also be used for mild arthritic pain.

Apply a thin layer to the affected area and gently massage into the skin as directed in the patient information leaflet.

Use only as directed on the packaging or in the leaflet. Do not exceed the recommended frequency or amount.

Voltarol Gel should be used for a limited period. If pain or swelling persists beyond 7–14 days, seek advice from a healthcare professional.

Yes, it can usually be used alongside paracetamol. If using other NSAIDs (oral or topical), seek advice to avoid exceeding safe limits.

Side effects are usually mild and local, such as skin irritation, redness, or itching. Stop using the gel if you develop a rash or allergic reaction.

If you have asthma sensitive to NSAIDs, a history of stomach ulcers, or other medical conditions, speak to a healthcare professional before use.
