Period Pain Reliever 250mg Gastro-Resistant Tablets contain naproxen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that helps reduce the pain and inflammation associated with painful periods.
The tablets are intended for the treatment of period pain, also known as menstrual pain or dysmenorrhoea, in women aged 15 to 50 years.
Each tablet contains 250mg of naproxen. The gastro-resistant coating allows the tablet to pass through the stomach before releasing the medicine further down the digestive system.

Swallow the tablets whole with water, preferably with or after food. Do not crush or chew the tablets.
First day of treatment:
Take two tablets initially. If required, take one further tablet after 6 to 8 hours.
Second and third day of treatment:
Take one tablet every 6 to 8 hours as required.
Do not take more than three tablets within any 24-hour period. Do not use for longer than three days during each menstrual cycle.
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time required to control your symptoms.
Speak to a doctor or pharmacist if your symptoms do not improve after three days, become worse or are different from your usual period pain.

On the first day, take two tablets together. If required, take one further tablet after 6 to 8 hours.
