Sudafed Sinus-Ease is a topical nasal decongestant spray that acts directly in the nasal passages. Xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.1% works by constricting swollen blood vessels in the lining of the nose, rapidly relieving congestion and helping to reduce pressure around the sinuses.

This product is intended for short-term use only. Prolonged or excessive use can lead to rebound congestion (medicinal rhinitis), where nasal blockage may worsen after stopping treatment.

Do not use this spray continuously for more than 7 days. If symptoms persist, worsen, or frequently recur, seek advice from a healthcare professional.

Who can use Sudafed Sinus-Ease?

Sudafed Sinus-Ease is suitable for those aged 12 years and over only.

It helps relieve nasal congestion and sinus pressure associated with colds, flu, sinusitis, and allergic rhinitis (hay fever).

Use only as directed in the patient information leaflet. Do not exceed the recommended dose or frequency.

Do not use for more than 7 consecutive days, as longer use increases the risk of rebound congestion.

Rebound congestion occurs when the nasal lining becomes dependent on decongestant sprays, leading to worsening blockage once the spray is stopped.

Yes, it can usually be used alongside oral cold and flu remedies. Always check labels and seek advice if unsure.

Possible side effects include nasal irritation, dryness, burning, or sneezing. Stop use if symptoms worsen or irritation persists.

If you have high blood pressure, heart disease, thyroid problems, diabetes, glaucoma, or prostate enlargement, consult a healthcare professional before use.

If congestion lasts longer than 7 days or returns frequently, seek advice from your GP or pharmacist.
