Voltarol Gel contains diclofenac diethylammonium and is used for the relief of pain, inflammation, and swelling associated with muscle and joint conditions, such as sprains, strains, sports injuries, and back pain. It works directly at the site of pain to reduce inflammation. Suitable for those aged 14 years and over only. Always read the leaflet before use.

Voltarol Gel is a topical non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) designed to be applied directly to the skin over the painful area. Diclofenac helps reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and improve mobility without the need for oral painkillers.
The gel is absorbed through the skin to target pain locally, which may reduce the risk of systemic side effects compared with oral NSAIDs. Hands should be washed after application, and the gel should not be applied to broken, infected, or irritated skin.

How long can I use it for?
Voltarol Gel should be used for a limited period. If pain or swelling persists beyond 7–14 days, seek advice from a healthcare professional.
Can I use it with other painkillers?
Yes, it can usually be used alongside paracetamol. If using other NSAIDs (oral or topical), seek advice to avoid exceeding safe limits.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are usually mild and local, such as skin irritation, redness, or itching. Stop using the gel if you develop a rash or allergic reaction.
