Benylin Dry Cough Syrup contains a cough suppressant that works on the cough centre in the brain to reduce the urge to cough. It is specifically intended for dry, non-productive coughs (where no mucus is being brought up).

This medicine is not suitable for chesty or productive coughs, where coughing helps clear mucus from the lungs. It is designed for short-term use only. If a cough persists, worsens, or is accompanied by fever, chest pain, breathlessness, or coughing up blood, medical advice should be sought.

Benylin Dry Cough Syrup may cause mild drowsiness in some people. Alcohol should be avoided while taking this medicine.
